OUR COMMUNITY

Our History

Lakewood Estates of Bessemer was founded as a planned community in 1925.  The construction of the original 7 homes spanned the remainder of the 1920's and the neighborhood continued to grow and expand through the 1980's.  Today there are a total of 79 homes that comprise Lakewood Estates.  Diversity abounds in both the architecture and residents of Lakewood.
